Hi Again,

I’m Karolina Rios, born and raised in a small town where cows were my neighbors, no literally. Now I live in the big city of Long Beach to where I have too many neighbors. I’m passionate about growing and learning while staying true to who I am. For over two years I have worked in the tourist industry as a docent at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden.

I’m currently a public relations major at Cal State Long Beach. I started in Fall 2024 and had an unconventional journey. I took a semester off, but I returned and had a new perspective and motivation which led me to apply for the Bateman team which resulted in my team placing in the top nationally. I can happily say even though I took some time off, I’m still set to graduate in Spring 2026.

These experiences have given me a strong foundation in public relations and who I am. I aspire to make my mark in environmental and travel PR, big or small and combine my passion for Earth and traveling with my skills.
